Dear Neighbor,

We are excited to bring you another great season of recreaonal programs! Being

that 2025 is our Village’s centennial year, we are really looking forward to all of the excing

summer programs and events ahead of us. For decades the Village has been known for

providing countless families with fun, innovave and safe recreaonal programs. Our sta

has been working relessly these past few months to connue in that tradion of excellence.

All of the summer events this year will have a special “centennial” air in honor of

the Village’s 100th birthday. From the weekly car shows, concerts, pool dances and pool

movie nights, there is something for everyone! Although we have been celebrang since

January, I am truly excited to invite all of you to the Centennial Parade & Community Block

Party scheduled for September 27th! Details for this event are on the inside back cover. On

page 19, you will noce two collectable, limited release, centennial items for sale! These

items will be a keepsake for many years to come.

On behalf of the Village Board & Village Jusce, we look forward to seeing you

around our Village this summer! Summer of 2025 promises to be lled with good mes and

great memories in Valley Stream. Valley Stream may not celebrate like this for another one

hundred years!

Sincerely,

Deputy Mayor

Dermond E. Thomas
